Welcome Gurpreet Kaur discussing Spiritual Laws

Postby Barbara Gabogrecan » Thu Apr 18, 2013 10:47 am

ImageThis week the expert in our Forum will be discussing a very different approach to business than what most of our previous experts have written. Gurpreet Kaur is an expert in personal growth and development and will discuss ‘Empowering Spiritual Laws of Success’.

Rather than just considering owning a ‘wealthy business’, Gurpreet encourages you to have ‘wealthier minds’. She is a visionary entrepreneur and will provide some mind blowing responses to the questions; Why are you here? What do you really need? How can you get it?

Her discussion will emphasise how modern science can meet ancient spirituality to show you how to reach your higher self. This empowering source of intelligence will help you to eliminate fear, judgement and other obstacles and will allow you to experience an increased sense of self-worth.

By learning to balance the material, psychological and spiritual levels of your being, you'll become a more peaceful, harmonious, whole person in everything you do. With this approach to life you may find that your business is more likely to grow and prosper together with your personal growth and development.

I will be reading the posts from Gurpreet with interest. I must confess that I am not a deeply spiritual or religious person, but I do believe in living a peaceful and harmonious life, especially in regards to my business. Join me in welcoming Gurpreet and share your thoughts on her philosophy.

Empowering Spiritual Laws of Success
I grew up knowing and believing that our minds have the capabilities of creating extraordinary results in our lives, how exactly I did not really know. How is it that some people are able to live a life filled with joy and happiness prospering in every way while others barely manage to scrape through the day?

What is the secret of a blissful extraordinary abundant existence? After reading numerous books on the matter of mind, body, spirit and personal growth, it all seems to highlight that the power truly lies within us. It’s all in our thought and how we see things. Where do these thoughts actually generate from; is it our brains or mind? Aren’t they the same thing?

If repeating positive affirmations is going to solve all our problems, why is it that many of us that have actually tried are still stuck where we were? So, why am I not a millionaire yet? Why hasn’t my dream partner come into my life when I have created that extra space in the cupboard for him? Why do I keep failing at my business ventures?

I was flooded with questions that needed answers, so I began my quest in understanding this so called power of the mind and how does it actually work.
My research and understanding brought me to the conclusion that “You Are Not Your Brain”. The journey begins with learning to connect with the source behind your thoughts or your higher self. Your higher self is a dynamic, growing life force consciousness. It exists in a realm where all beings are untied as one multidimensional consciousness. It knows why you have the challenges that you have and is the essence of who you are. It is the wise teacher within you.

As you open up to the higher dimensions of yourself, you will be able to lift the veils of illusion and see the world through the eyes of this higher level of consciousness. You will link your throat with your higher self and express truth and love in all you say. Your mind will be illuminated and your emotions will be harmonious as they are blended with the light of greater awareness.

You will be able to create rapid positive changes in your physical body, and gain greater skills in healing yourself and implementing creative solutions to your problems. Over the next couple of days I will be discussing how we can access this empowering source of intelligence that resides within us to experience a more full-filling harmonious life.

What a 'mind full' (or should I say 'mine field'?) your first post has opened Gurpreet! I must admit I am not as spiritual as you obviously are and I certainly have not studied the concept of brain power - but I believe in it, nevertheless. My mother never told me that I could not do anything I really wanted to achieve, so I simply put my mind into gear and assured myself that I could 'do it'. So far I have always been able to achieve what is really important for me.

Getting over my last serious illness is a point in question. I was told that I would be in hospital/rehabilitation for up to 3 months after my brain tumour was removed. In fact I was home in 7 days! I was just so determined to get well and be strong again...and of course, God and my family looked after me well!

I look forward to reading what discoveries you have made regarding how to bring our brain and soul into line for such positive results.

Hi Barbara,

All I can say is that you really know how to tap into the power that lies within you. Its is truly amazing that you were able to get home within 7 days after your surgery.

Thanks

You are not your brain?

In order for us to connect with our higher self it is necessary to become more aware or conscious. To understand this I looked into whether consciousness happens in your brain?

If you ask some people the question that you are not your brain, you may get the response of "Of course I am not my brain! That's obvious." While others may say something along the lines of "Well, if I am not these thoughts, impulses, urges and actions, who am I? Doesn't my brain define me?"

Interestingly, these responses mirror the current debate raging in the neuroscience community on this very topic. Some scientists believe that there is nothing but the brain - that apart from its role of regulating the nervous system and the whole body, it also controls what we think, who we are, our values and actions. To them, the mind simply does not exist. Rather, it is the brain that changes itself, not us or what we do. To the opposition, the mind is intimately connected with, and can exert some pretty powerful effects on, the brain. In short, we believe that people are so much more than what their brain is trying to tell them they are and that the brain often gets in the way of our true, long-term goals and values in life (i.e., our higher self).

The way I see it is that the brain is the control center and the commander is within the conscious mind where the field of all possibilities exists. Whatever thoughts, beliefs opinion, theories or dogmas you write engrave or impress upon you conscious mind, you will experience them as the objective manifestation of circumstances, conditions and events. Whatever you write on the inside, you will experience on the outside.

If you can accept the fact that you are not your brain, then the door to greater creativity is flung open. All you really need to do to be more successful in business or your personal life is pay attention and be more aware of your actions and surroundings. If you think of everyday experience as input for your brain, then happiness, well-being, success are created by giving the brain positive input.

This is much more than positive thinking, which is often too superficial and masks underlying negativity. Everyone wants to experience positive feelings of love, hope, optimism, appreciation and approval without really knowing how to get them. For all the theories that proliferate about happiness, from the brain’s perspective, the formula is to maximize the positive messages being received by the cortex and minimize the negative ones. It really isn’t about pretending that life is rosy, and controlling all thoughts, it’s simply about accepting the challenges, setbacks and crises that life throws at you and finding a way to best adapt to both the light and dark of experiences. Remembering also that what you resist surely tends to persist, the power has been within your realm all along.

I was not going to make a comment today - but felt that I had something important to add to this post. When I had my brain tumour removed, my surgeon, Mr Bala said, "The human being in time can conquer and compensate for lost ability (in the brain)". This suggests that it is the way we think and feel that can control our brain - rather than our brain controlling us.

I would love to hear what others think!

I'm not sure if it is my mind or my brain that is being overwhelmed by these posts. I know that Barbara always has a positive attitude to all things and it seems to work for her very well. I, on the other hand, am more of a negative (I call it cautious) type and she does spend much of her time getting me to see a different, more positive perspective on things. In this she has been quite successful, so I guess there is hope for me yet!

I sort of get the concept of the mind being different from the brain. The mind is more to do with your spirit, while the brain is to do with your physical body and its control. But, how does one get the mind to control the brain?

The trick is firstly to be recognize the mind body spirit connection. I always wondered why people always associated love with being in the heart or the feeling or nervousness and anxiety associated to tightness in the stomach. It is in the awareness that you can begin to access the controls and then can consciously begin to experience the difference in your being.

Spiritual Law of Success - Pure Potentiality

Now that we know we are not our brains or if you can somehow believe that for the moment. How can we tap into this energy field? The law of Pure Potentiality is based on the fact that we are, in our essential state, pure consciousness. Pure consciousness is pure potentiality; it is the field of all possibilities and infinite creativity. Pure consciousness is our spiritual essence. Being infinite and unbounded, it is also pure joy. Other attributes of consciousness are pure knowledge, infinite silence, perfect balance, invincibility, simplicity, and bliss.

When you discover your essential nature and know who you really are, in that knowing itself is the ability to fulfil any dream you have, because you are the eternal possibility, the immeasurable potential of all that was, is, and will be. The Law of Pure Potentiality could also be called the Law of Unity, because underlying the infinite diversity of life is the unity of one all-pervasive spirit. There is no separation between you and this field of energy. The field of pure potentiality is your own Self. And the more you experience your true nature, the closer you are to the field of pure potentiality.

The experience of the self, or "self-referral," means that our internal reference point is our own spirit, and not the objects of our experience. The opposite of self-referral is object-referral. In object-referral we are always influenced by objects outside the self, which include situations, circumstances, people, and things where the internal reference point is your ego. The ego is not who you really are it is your self-image; it is your social mask; it is the role you are playing. Your social mask thrives on constant approval of others, the need to control things and external power. When you operate from this level you really are acting from a place of fear.

Power based on object-referral, lasts only as long as the object of reference is there. If you have a certain title-if you're the president of the country or the chairman of a corporation-or if you have a lot of money, the power you enjoy goes with the title, with the job, with the money. Ego-based power will only last as long as those things last. As soon as the title, the job, the money go away, so does the power.

Your true Self, which is your spirit, your soul, is completely free of those things. It is immune to criticism, it is fearless of any challenge, and it feels beneath no one, neither superior to anyone. It magnetizes people, situations, and circumstances to support your desires. The simplest way I know how you can access this field is through silence, meditation and non-judgment. There certainly isn’t a direct guide or map that will take you to this place of higher awareness and being instantly; it is a journey of personal transformation and knowing.

This is heavy stuff Gurpreet. Even though it is very interesting, it is also very difficult to digest and come to terms with in the short period of time that business people allow themselves to read posts in forums. Your work is brilliant and I do hope that some readers take the time to gather up the thoughts and challenges you are offering.
